Getinet Fikresilassie Irena is a seasoned Food Safety and Quality Management professional with over 15 years of experience across the public and private sectors. As the Founder and CEO of AG Quality Management Consultancy, he specializes in developing and implementing robust food safety and quality management systems. Previously, Getinet served as a Food Safety Researcher and Team Leader at the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) and held leadership roles at LM Trading Group, Senselet Food Processing, and New Zealand Milk Products. A recognized expert in food policy, he currently chairs the National Food Safety Technical Working Group and serves on the Food and Nutrition MER Steering Committee. He is a published researcher with extensive experience in public health surveillance, nutritional surveys, and industrial quality management. Recipient of multiple recognitions for excellence in Eastern Africa Food Safety implementation andalso national nutrition strategy contribution.
